Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test item to Daphnia magna was tested according to the OECD guideline 202 and GLP.

According to the properties of the test item, the study was conducted in the dark and in semi-static conditions over a period of 48 hours. 20 daphnies were exposed to the following nominal concentrations 2.5 - 5 - 10 - 20 - 40 - 80 mg/L , and the control.

The concentrations of the test item were verified by LC-MS/MS at the start of the exposure (0 and 24 h) and at the end of each exposure interval (24 and 48h) in all concentrations and the control. The measured concentrations were within 95 to 112% of the nominal concentrations at the start of the exposure. At the end of the exposure they strongly decreased with decreasing nominal concentrations resulting in a range of 101% to < LOD of nominal values. The geometric mean measured concentration were calculated to be : 0.293 - 2.83 - 8.59 - 19.4 - 39.4 - 80.6 mg/L.

The water quality parameter (pH, oxygen) measured at the start and at the end of exposure were within the acceptable limits. The validity criteria of the OECD Guideline 202 were fulfilled.

The NOEC of the test item was 2.83 mg/L. The EC50 on Daphnia magna after 48 h of exposure to the test item under semi-static conditions was calculated to be 10.3 mg/l (Confidence interval : 8.84 - 12.1 mg/L).
