Adsorption / desorption
The adsorption coefficient of the test item was found to be log Koc > 5.6 (8.31) at 25 °C. The Koc was 204173795 L/kg at 25 °C.
Bioaccumulation
The source material 4-[difluoro(3,4,5-trifluorophenoxy)methyl]-2',3,5-trifluoro-4''-propyl-1,1':4',1''-terphenyl showed no relevant bioaccumulation at concentration levels at or above the water solubility. The OECD GLP criteria were met and the methods applied are fully compliant with OECD TG 305. The steady state BCF values were at 64 and 59 (mean 61). It is assumed that the target substance would as well have low bioaccumulation potential due to the high similarity in the structures.
