Conclusions:
The water solubility of test item “Direct Yellow 147” was performed according to OECD 105 (1995) and EPA Test Guideline OCSPP 830.7840 by an HPLC-UV method. The analytical method used for the analyte quantification proved to be specific and linear. The water solubility of 2.5 g of “Direct Yellow 147” at 20°C in 5.0 mL of water with flask method proved to be 336.43 g/L. An additional test was performed using the worst case scenario, as described in guidelines. The result
corresponds to about 98% of recovery with respect to the theoretical initial amount of sample in solution, so as verified for the working solutions of the final test. Therefore the result of water solubility is strictly related to the amount of substance used to perform the test and the content of water added.
Executive summary:

336.43 g/L
