Irritant / corrosive response data:
A conjunctivae score of 1 in animal #2 was observed at the 7 day reading; no further readings are documented in study, but were performed acording to description of method. However, considering the overall observations a reversibity can be assumed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
Category 2 (irritating to eyes) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Moderate ocular reactions were observed in all three animals, involving cornea, iris and conjunctiva. Due to study termination after 7 days, full reversibility of effects was not shown in one animal with a remaining score of 1 for conjunctival redness at study day 7. However, a fully reversibility can be expected, taken information from other TEA-Esterquat eye irritation studies into account.
