Reported statistics and error estimates:
The EC50 (24-h and 48-h) was determined by the moving avrage method. The EC0 was determined by the highest concentration at which <= 10% immobilisation occurred. The EC0 was determined by the lowest concentration at which 100 % immobilisation occurred.

Conclusions:
In an aquatic test with Daphnia magna according to EU Directive 79/831/EEC, Annex V, part C and OECD Guideline 202 the 48-hour EC50 of the test item was determined to be 42.7 mg/L (nominal).
Executive summary:

The toxicity of the test item to aquatic invertebrates was assessed in a static, 48-hour test according to EU Directive 79/831/EEC, Annex V, part C and OECD Guideline 202. Young daphnids (2 - 24 hours old; 5 animals per test vessel) were exposed to nominal test item concentrations of: 7.81, 15.6, 31.2, 62.5, 125 mg/mL (4 replicates per concentration). A negative control (dilution water only; five replicates) was tested in parallel. The solution water used for the test was prepared according to the test guideline DIN 38412, L 11. Daphnids were fed during the test with Brewer's yeast and green algae (daily). The light regime was 16 light : 8 darkness at a test temperature of 18-20 °C.  Mobility of the test animals was checked visually after 0, 3, 6, 24 and 48 hours of exposure. In result, the 48-hour EC0 and EC100 of the test item was determined to be 31.2 mg/L and 62.5 mg/L in nominal, respectively. The 48-hour EC50 of the test item was 42.7 mg/L (nominal).
