First-aid measures

- Inhalation: No treatment necessary under normal conditions of use. If symptoms persist, obtain medical advice.

- Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Flush exposed area with water and follow by washing with soap if available. If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.

- Eye Contact: In case of contact with eyes, immediately rinse cautiously with plenty of water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.

- If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention, providing details of the substance/ product to which the patient has been exposed.

- Ingestion: Clean mouth with water and afterwards drink plenty of water. In general, no treatment is necessary unless large quantities are swallowed, however, get medical advice.

- Self-protection of the first aider: When administering first aid, ensure that you are wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment according to the incident, injury and surroundings. Wear protective eye protection / face protection and gloves / protective clothing.

- Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Ingestion may result in nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhoea. Contact may result in irritation to eyes.

- Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Treat symptomatically. Contact poison treatment specialist immediately if large quantities have been ingested or inhaled. If eye irritation occurs, get medical advice/attention, providing details of the substance/product to which the patient has been exposed.

Fire-fighting measures

- General precautions: Clear fire area of all non-emergency personnel.

- Extinguishing Media: Foam, water spray or fog. Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, sand or earth may be used for small fires only.

- Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: Do not use water in a jet.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Hazardous combustion products may include: A complex mixture of airborne solid and liquid particulates and gases (smoke). Carbon monoxide. Unidentified organic and inorganic compounds.

- Advice for firefighters: Proper protective equipment including chemical resistant gloves are to be worn; chemical resistant suit is indicated if large contact with spilled product is expected. Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus must be worn when approaching a fire in a confined space. Select fire fighter's clothing approved to relevant Standards (e.g. Europe: EN469). Wear eye protection / face protection and protective gloves / protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

- General precautions: Avoid contact with spilled or released material. Observe the relevant local and international regulations.

- Personal Precautions, Protective Equipment and Emergency Procedures: Remove all sources of ignition. Avoid contact with eyes. Wear eye protection / face protection and protective gloves / protective clothing.

- For non-emergency personnel: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear eye protection / face protection and protective gloves / protective clothing.

- For emergency responders: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear eye protection / face protection and protective gloves / protective clothing.

- Environmental Precautions: Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination. Prevent from entering drains, ditches or rivers by using appropriate barriers. Avoid subsoil penetration.

- Methods and Material for Containment and Cleaning Up: Shovel into a suitable clearly marked container for disposal or reclamation in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

General Precautions

- Avoid direct contact with product. Avoid contact with eyes. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Wash with water thoroughly after handling.

- Carry out a risk assessment of local circumstances to help determine appropriate controls for safe handling, storage and disposal of this material.

- Ensure suitable management/supervision is in place to check that the RMMs in place are being used correctly and OCs followed. Train staff on good practice to prevent / minimise exposures and to report any eye problems that may develop.

- Implement of basic standards of occupational hygiene. Clean up contamination/spills as soon as they occur. Regular cleaning of equipment and work area. Avoid splashes and spills. Avoid contact with contaminated tools and objects.

- Adopt good standards of personal hygiene. Avoid direct contact with product. Wear gloves (tested to EN374) if direct hand contact with the substance is likely; wash off skin contamination immediately. Wear protective gloves and suitable eye protection at all times when handling the substance.

- Where activities may lead to aerosol release e.g. spraying, then additional skin and eye protection measures such as impervious suits and face shields may be required. Use local exhaust ventilation if there is risk of inhalation.

Precautions for Safe Handling

- Implement of basic standards of occupational hygiene.

- Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Avoid direct eye contact with product, also via contamination on hands.

- Use suitable eye protection. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Wash with water thoroughly after handling.

- Wear gloves (tested to EN374) if direct hand contact with the substance is likely; wash off skin contamination immediately. Wear protective gloves and suitable eye protection at all times when handling the substance.

- Avoid inhaling vapour and/or mists. Where activities may lead to aerosol release e.g. spraying, then additional skin and eye protection measures such as impervious suits and face shields may be required.

- When handling product in containers (drums, sacks, pails, etc...), safety footwear should be worn and proper handling equipment should be used. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.

- Keep containers tightly closed and in a cool, well-ventilated place. Use properly labelled and closeable containers.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

- Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials and food and drink. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabeled containers.
