Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
If inhaled : Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention immediately.
In case of skin contact : Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If on skin, rinse well with water. Get medical attention immediately if irritation persists.
In case of eye contact : Immediately flush eye(s) with plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
If swallowed : Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water. Get medical attention immediately.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms : Acute dermal irritation/corrosion; Respiratory disorder
Risks : Dangerous amounts can be absorbed through the skin.
Treatment : The first aid procedure should be established in consultation with the doctor responsible for industrial medicine.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Alcohol-resistant foam(on small fires); Carbon dioxide (CO2); Dry chemical
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Water spray jet
Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment for firefighters : Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information : Do not discharge extinguishing waters into streams, rivers and lakes.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : Evacuate unnecessary personnel. Avoid all contact with material. Wear suitable protective equipment.
Environmental precautions : Prevent leaks and prevent soil / water pollution caused by leaks.
Methods for cleaning up : Contain spillage, soak up with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and transfer to a container for disposal according to local / national regulations. Large spills should be collected mechanically (remove by pumping) for disposal.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling : Wear suitable protective equipment. Warn personnel about the dangers of the product. Keep container tightly closed.
Requirements for storage areas and containers : Keep in a dry, cool place.
Advice on common storage : Never allow product to get in contact with water during storage.
Other data : Stable under normal conditions.
Specific use(s) : Antioxidant

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters: Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.
Engineering measures: Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection : In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Respirator with filter for organic vapour
Hand protection : Polyvinyl alcohol or nitrile- butyl-rubber gloves. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Before removing gloves clean them with soap and water.
Eye protection : Safety goggles.
Skin and body protection : impervious clothing, Long sleeved clothing.
To protect against splashes from pouring: Rubber or plastic boots. Rubber or plastic apron. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
Discard contaminated shoes.
Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash thoroughly after handling. Keep working clothes separately. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace.
Protective measures : Ensure that eye flushing systems and safety showers are located close to the working place.
Environmental exposure controls. General advice : Prevent leaks and prevent soil / water pollution caused by leaks.
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.
Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Hazardous reactions : No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.
Conditions to avoid : Extremes of temperature and direct sunlight.
Materials to avoid : Oxidizing agents, Strong acids and strong bases
Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours. Carbon oxides
Disposal considerations
