Description of key information

The test material is a colourless liquid with a pour point of less than -20°C and a boiling point of 131°C. It possesses a relative density of 0.9787 at 15.6°C, a vapour pressure of 1310 Pa at 37.8°C. The test material is miscible with water with a water solubility of >97.87 g/L and a Log Pow of 0.198. A flash point of 29.4°C (PMCC) indicates that the test material is classified as a flammable liquid according to UN GHS criteria.

The liquid substance is not flammable in contact with air nor does it emit flammable gases in contact with water based on experience during use and handling. The auto-ignition temperature was determined to be 407°C. There are no chemical groups associated with explosiveness nor with oxidizing properties. Finally, surface activity is not a desired property of the test material.
