The substance concerned by this dossier (Poplar, ext.) is in reality contained at 3% in a mixture of water (92%) and KOH (5%). This substance is purified for REACH purpose (because REACH defines a substance without its solvents). The Guidance on safe use provided in this dossier is the one of the substance which is put on the market (solution of 3% of Poplar extract in water and KOH), because it is the most relevant. This is due to KOH that this substance has a GSU corresponding to a classified substance.
First-aid measures after eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. An immediate medical examination is required.
First-aid measures after skin contact : Wash immediately with plenty of water, for at least 15 minutes. An immediate medical examination is required.
First-aid measures after ingestion : DO NOT induce vomiting. Call immediately a POISON CENTER or doctor.
First-aid measures after inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Do not give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation if the person has ingested or inhaled the substance; Induce artificial respiration with the aid of a medical breathing device. An immediate medical examination is required.
