Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm.
In the event of symptoms take medical treatment.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water.
Take for medical treatment
After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
After ingestion: Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink.
Do not induce vomiting.
Call for medical advice immediately; show this safety data sheet
Notes to physician
Symptoms: The following symptoms may occur:
- gastrointestinal complaints
Treatment: When swallowed, stomach should be pumped out under addition of Dimeticon (anti-foam agent).
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet
Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In the event of fire the following can be released:
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide
Special protective equipmentfor firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases
Use self-contained breathing apparatus and wear protective suit.
Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.
Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.
Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Take up with absorbent material (eg sand, kieselguhr, universal binder)
Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.
Handling and storage
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Manufacturer/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Hygiene measures: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediatley.
At work do not eat, drink, smoke or take drugs.
Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.
Wash ahnds before breaks and after work.
Respiratory protection: in case of formation of vapours/aerosols: respiratory protection mask with combination filter A-P2
Hand protection: PVC gloves
Eye protection: goggles, or face shield if necessary.
Skin and body protection: Alkali-resistant protective clothing. A protective ointment is recommended.
Stability and reactivity
Hazardous reactions : Reactions with strong acids.
Hazardous decomposition products: None with proper storage and handling.
Disposal considerations
Contaminated packaging : If empty contaminated containers are recycled or disposed of, the receiver must be informed about possible hazards.
