Additional information

Experimental data on the biodegradation potential of the reaction mass of (1R,2R)-, (1R,2S)- (1S, 2R) and (1S,2S)-Isomers of 2,3-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1H-inden-1-amine (EC no. 937-760-6) are not available. Therefore, the assessment is based on experimental read-across data available for the structurally analogous substance (1R,2S)-2,3-Dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1H-inden-1-amine hydrochloride (CAS 730980-53-7).

The biodegradation potential of the source chemical was investigated in a GLP compliant Manometric Respirometry Test performed according to EU-method C.4-D using predominantly domestic, non-adapted sewage as inoculum. The substance was found to be not readily biodegradable over the test period (0 % biodegradation after 28 days).

Based on the available read-across data, the reaction mass of (1R,2R)-, (1R,2S)- (1S, 2R) and (1S,2S)-Isomers of 2,3-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-1H-inden-1-amine (EC no. 937-760-6) is considered to be not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).
