Conclusion on classification

Short-term toxicity tests for Daphnia and algae are available for the substance. The ErC50 value for algae and EC50 value for daphnia are both >1.0 mg/L; therefore, the substance does not need to be classified as acute aquatic hazard according to Regulation 1272/2008/EC (CLP, Table 4.1.0; a). The lowest chronic available value is the NOEC of algae being 0.43 mg/L. The substance is not readily biodegradable. In view of the algae NOEC <=1 mg/L the substance needs to be classified for chronic toxicity according to CLP Regulation 1272/2008/EC Figure 4.1.1 and Table 4.1.0; b (i) and (iii), resulting in Chronic 2 and H411. Overall, it can be concluded that FRET 12 -0492 needs to be classified and H411 and according to Regulation 1272/2008/EC (CLP); no M-factor needs to be applied.
