Endpoint:
solubility in organic solvents / fat solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017-03-03 to 2017-09-25
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
other: OECD guideline 105
Deviations:
not applicable
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The test item was analysed for n-octanol solubility, using a procedure based on the shakeflask method described in OECD guideline 105.
GLP compliance:
no
Key result
Medium:
n-octanol
Solubility:
250 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: estimated from preliminary study
Details on results:
The test item was analysed for 1-Octanol solubility, using a procedure based on the shake flask method described in OECD 105.
The test mixtures separated in two phases, a solid upper phase, and a cloudy gel-like lower phase.
These mixtures could not be separated to isolate a saturated 1-Octanol solution.
It was not possible to determine the 1-Octanol solubility using the shake-flask procedure as described in OECD 105.
For this reason, the results obtained in the preliminary test were used to estimate the 1-octanol solubility of the test item (refer to table below).

Results obtained in the preliminary test were used to estimate the l-Octanol solubility ofthe test item.

Conclusions:
1-Octanol solubility ofN,N'-[(methylimino)bis(trimethylene)] bis(oleamide) at 20 °C is estimated to 250 g/l.
Executive summary:

The solubility of N,N'-[(methylimino)bis(trimethylene)] bis(oleamide) in 1-Octanol was measured according to OECD Guideline 105 (27 July 1995) using the flask method at 20 °C.

For this reason, the results obtained in the preliminary test were used to estimate the 1-Octanol solubility of the test item.

1-Octanol solubility ofN,N'-[(methylimino)bis(trimethylene)] bis(oleamide) at 20 °C is estimated to 250 g/l.
