Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with water for 15 minutes. Have eyes examined and tested by medical personnel.
Skin: Wash off immediately with plenty of soap and water. If necessary, consult a doctor.
Ingestion: Rinse out mouth with water. Drink large quantities of water.
Inhalation: If feeling drowsy, remove to fresh air.
General: If splashed, remove clothing contaminated with the product immediately and clean thoroughly before reuse.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemicals, foam, water spray (fog)
Special protective equipment for fire fighters: self contained breathing apparatus, protective clothing, protective gloves and helmet
Special exposure hazards: oxides of carbon evolved in fire.

Accidental release measures

Personel precautions: wear protective clothing, gloves and safety goggles.
Environmental precautions: prevent the dispersion of this material to the environment by blocking access to drains, water courses and fields. Small quantities of product may, after dilution with water, be passed to an effluent plant. Large quantities must be placed in containers and disposed of in an approved land-fill area.
Methods for cleaning up: isolate spill by diking. Contain and absorb on absorbent material (e.g. sand).

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety procedures. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Storage: product should be stored, under cover, in a clean well ventilated area. Preferably stored between 4 and 32 ºC.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Recommended engineering controls: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety procedures.
No respiratory protection required. Wear nitrile gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing when handling the substance.
Prevent from entering in public sewers or the immediate environment.

Stability and reactivity

Avoid storage below 4 ºC.
No hazardous decomposition when used as directed.

Disposal considerations

Disposal of product: according to special waste regulations. EWC recommendation: 160305 (Organic wastes containing dangerous substances). Depending on the origin and state of the waste, other EWC numbers may be applicable too.
