*The temperature was selected at the ZPA3 corresponding to an initial oven temperature of 200°C. As the test substance showed no ignition at 385.7 °C, a higher temperature was selected

for the subsequent ignition trials corresponding to a new initial oven temperature of 400°C. Using a constant heating rate, the subsequent ignition trials were conducted every 20 ± 5 K.

Atmospheric pressure during the pre-test was 99826 Pa.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the auto ignition temperature of the test substance was determined to be 390°C at 99.7 kPa.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the auto ignition temperature of the test substance, according to EU Method A.15. The auto ignition temperature was determined in three independent determinations. A lowest value of the main test of 391 °C was found therefore, the auto-ignition temperature according to EU A.15 (rounded down to a whole multiple of 5 °C). Under the study conditions, the auto ignition temperature of the test substance was determined to be 390°C at 99.7 kPa (Krebs, 2018).

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance was determined according to EU Method A.15 and DIN 51794 (Krebs, 2018).

Key value for chemical safety assessment
