First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures

Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of running water. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Inhalation: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. Prevent cooling of the person. Keep victim at rest in half-upright position. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention.

Skin contact: Rinse with plenty of running water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Ingestion: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Get medical attention if symptoms occur.

Protection of first-aiders: No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. If it is suspected that fumes are still present, the rescuer should wear an appropriate mask or self-contained breathing apparatus. It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Hand protection: Chemical-resistant, impervious gloves complying with an approved standard should be worn at alltimes when handling chemical products if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary. > 8 hours (breakthrough time): Nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, neoprene, Viton®.
