Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

In the acute toxicity studies (short-term toxicity to invertebrates and toxicity to algae tests) no effects were observed at 100% saturation solutions and classification for acute aquatic toxicity is therefore not warranted.

Based on the available chronic toxicity data (algal ErC10 value > 100% saturation solution), the test substance also does not show toxicity under CLP criteria. Nevertheless the available information on the test substance show grounds for concern on long-term toxicity as the substance is poorly soluble in water (showing no acute aquatic toxicity) and is not rapidly biodegradable. Furthermore, no adequate long-term toxicity data is available for all three trophic levels. Based on these grounds for concern, the substance should be classified as Aquatic Chronic 4: H413 (May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life) as 'safety net' in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
