In conclusion, the test item Solvent Red 119 melted in the range of 226.0 °C to 227.7 °C (499.2 K to 500.9 K).
Executive summary:

The determination of the melting point was performed by visual judgement using the capillary method.

In the preliminary test the test item starts melting at 250 °C.

The test item showed only four stages of melting. The melting started at 226.0 °C (stage B). At 227.7 °C the last stage E of melting was reached (for details see Table 1). During the measurement the test item changed the color and at the end of the test the test item was liquid and black(the decomposition is assumed).
