JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
According to Annex VIII, section 9.2.2.1, column 2 of Regulation No. 1907/2006, a hydrolysis study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. A ready biodegradability study performed with 4-aminobenzoyl-b-alanine in accordance with OECD Guideline 310 showed that 4-aminobenzoyl-b-alanine was considered readily biodegradable in aerobic conditions. Therefore, a hydrolysis study on 4-aminobenzoyl-b-alanine is considered scientifically unjustified.
