Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Key result
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
>= 257 - <= 275 °C
Remarks on result:

Remarks:
Two endothermic peaks could be observed (peak maximum: 257°C and 275 °C). The first one could be an indication of melting with parallel decomposition (see mass loss step during thermogravimetric measurement). Upon further heating the DSC-curve showed no more sharp peaks but the typical fluctuating course indicating decomposition. Reweighing after the measurement showed that the sample had lost 93.6 %/ 93.7% of its mass.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The melting temperature of the test item was determined by differential scanning calorimetry
according to OECD Test Guideline 102 [adopted on 27 July 1995] and EU test method A.1
