Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
from 2021-01-12 to 2021-01-25
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
1995
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
Due to the fact that the test item showed no evaluable UV activity, a quantitative determination of the water solubility via HPLC with UV detection was not possible. Thus, only the preliminary tests are used for the estimation of the water solubility.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.6 (Water Solubility)
Version / remarks:
2008
Deviations:
yes
Remarks:
Due to the fact that the test item showed no evaluable UV activity, a quantitative determination of the water solubility via HPLC with UV detection was not possible. Thus, only the preliminary tests are used for the estimation of the water solubility.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
other: simplified flask method

Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item was estimated to be between 324.3 g/L and 329.3 g/L.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determined in an experimental study under GLP conditions according to OECD Test Guideline 105 and EU Method A.6. Due to the fact that the test item showed no evaluable UV activity, a quantitative determination of the water solubility via HPLC with UV detection was not possible. Thus, only the preliminary tests are used for the estimation of the water solubility (simplified flask method). The water solubility was estimated by stepwise addition of test item to 100 mL water. The water solubility of the test item was estimated to be between 324.3 g/L and 329.3 g/L.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item was estimated to be between 324.3 g/L and 329.3 g/L (reference 4.8-1).
