Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a 48 h acute toxicity study conducted according to OECD guideline 202 and in compliance with GLP, water fleas (Daphnia magna) were exposed to the test substance under semi-static conditions at WSFs individually prepared at loading rates of 2.2, 4.6, 10, 22, 46 and 100 mg/L. Test solutions were renewed after 24 hours. Exposure concentrations were verified by a validated method: in the freshly prepared WSFs, the measured concentrations were at t=0 7 between 1.72 and 8.2 mg/L and these concentrations remained stable during the renewal periods, i.e. 81-105% of the initial concentrations. Effect parameters were based on average exposure concentrations, calculated to be respectively 1.7, 2.3, 4.6, 6.8, 7.4 and 7.3 mg/L. The 48h-EC50 was 5.1 mg/L (95% CI 4.3 - 5.8 mg/L). The study is considered to be reliable without restrictions.
