Description of key information

The surface tension of the test item, diluted to 1 g/l in water at 20 °C, measured by the plate method using a tensiometer was: σ = 72.1 mN/m.
Due to the fact that the surface tension is 72.1 mN/m, usually the test item has no surface-active properties

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
72.1
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

The surface tension of the test item was determined using a plate tensiometer. A commercially available tensiometer based on the plate method was used to measure the force which is required to withdraw a horizontally suspended plate from the surface of the test solution.
The surface tension was determined in a concentration of 1 g/L test item diluted in demineralized water at 20°C.
