In the two experiments performed, a small endothermic peak between 100°C and 225°C was observed. It was most likely obtained due to evaporation of minor compounds in the test substance.

In both experiments, an exothermic decomposition effect starting at 225°C was observed. The extrapolated onset temperature of the effect in the first experiment was 364.99°C. In the second experiment an onset temperature 367.27°C was obtained. The exothermic decomposition energy was 174.3 J/g in the first experiment and 171.4 J/g in the second test.

Conclusions:
The explosive properties of E-C104 were evaluated using DSC. Exothermic decomposition of the test substance was observed at a temperature of 386°C. The exothermic decomposition energy was 173 J/g. According to this it was considered that the test substance has no explosive properties.
