Description of key information

Key study:- Tremain and Atwal (2011) 'CN-3384A: Determination of hazardous physico-chemical properties' conducted in line with EU Method A.10.
The substance was determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.
Further flammability testing including pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water were addressed with a data waiver, based on experience of handling the substance and the the known properties of the substance, testing was considered unecessary.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The key study was performed in compliance with GLP and to EU Method A.10 with a sufficient level of detail to assess the quality of the study. The study was performed to a good standard in line with an accepted, standardised guideline and was assigned a reliability score of 1 using the criteria for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997).

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance is not classified for flammability.
