Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test item has no oxidizing properties in the sense of the consolidated version of European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.21.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

In all tests no bursting of a rupture disc was observed.

No mean pressure rise time of all tests can not be calculated for thetest item because the pressure limit of 2070 kPa was not reached.

Justification for classification or non-classification

No bursting of a rupture disc was observed in all tests. Due to the fact, that the 1:1 mixture, by mass, of test item and cellulose do not even reach the pressure limit 2070 kPa until 60 s had elapsed, compared with a mean rise time of 4.34 s for a 1:1 mixture, by mass, of 65 % nitric acid and cellulose, the test item has no oxidizing properties.

Data are conclusive but not sufficient for classification according to CLP criteria (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008). No classification is proposed regarding oxidizing properties according to CLP criteria.
