Additional information

Multi constituent ester of pentaerythritol 2-ethylhexanoate exhibits a low water solubility (< 0.05 mg/L in aqua dest) and a high log Kow (log Kow 5 to > 10). Water Accommodated Fraction’s (WAFs) were used in all aquatic toxicity tests described in this section. Fish was more sensitive towards the substance in acute toxicity tests with an LL50 of 39 mg/L, compared to ErL50 > 100 mg/L for algae. No acute toxicity data for aquatic invertebrates are available. However, these are not required according to column 2 of Annex VII chapter 9.1, of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 as a long term aquatic toxicity study on invertebrates is available. The chronic study on Daphnia magna resulted in a NOEL reproduction of 5.8 mg/L.
