- Justification for type of information:
- Experimental study planned: the substance is registered at Annex IX and, currently, no terrestrial data are available. The substance is categorised as soil Hazard Category 3 due to persistence and aquatic toxicty >1 mg/l. According to ECHA guidance, a confirmatory long-term terrestrial test should be conducted for Hazard Category 3 substances. An OECD 222 test is therefore proposed. Prior to conducting the full study, a feasibility study should be carried out to ensure that the soil can be dosed at suitable concentrations, due to low water solubility of the parent substance and the potential for condensation reactions of the silanol hydrolysis product.
