Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Vapour pressure (substance): 0.3 Pa at 20°C
Vapour pressure (hydrolysis product): 0.000012 Pa at 20°C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.3 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A vapour pressure value of 0.3 Pa is reported at 20°C. Extrapolation of experimental data measured at temperatures ranging from 24.4 to 37.3 °C. The study report provides the Clark&Glew correlation; this is the most reliable result and is assigned as key study. The uncertainty of 0.04 Pa is reasonable for the final result. Two vapour pressure values of < 133 Pa at 20°C were reported in secondary literature (MSDS), being compliant with the result of the key study. The reliability of these results are not assignable. The vapour pressure of the silanol hydrolysis product is negligible.
