Given that the substance is in solution in water, it is expected to present the same range in the partition coefficient as its organic component: methylammonium. The logPow reported for methylamine in aqueous solution is negative, so the logPow of MMAN is also expected to be negative. This implies that MMAN has a very low Kow (lower than 10), indicating a great hydrosolubility potential. This is coherent with the state in aqueous solution. Therefore, the partition coefficient octanol/water does not need to be further assessed.
