Any other information on results incl. tables

No significant increase (two fold and dose-related increase compared with negative control) in revertant colonies per plate was observed at any concentration of Chlorosulfonyl isocyanate in the absence and presenceofS9 mix. Positive controls were tested in this study; NaN3, ICR-191, AF-2 and 2AA. These four positive controls showed significant increase of revertant colonies. It was concluded that Chlorosulfonyl isocyanate was not mutagenic in this test system.

Chlorosulfonyl isocyanate was not mutagenic in this test system.
Executive summary:

A study was carried out according to EU Method B.13/14 and OECD Guideline 471 (Bacterial Reverse Mutation Assay). The mutagenic potential of the test item was assayed with S. typhimurium TA98, TA100, TA1535, and TA1537 and E. coli WP2 uvrA using the preincubation method in the absence and presence of S9 mix. The test item was tested at the dose of 157, 313, 625, 1250, 2500 and 5000 µg/plate. No significant increase in revertant colonies was observed at any concentration of test item, either in the absence and presence of S9 mix. Positive controls showed significant increase of the incidence of revertant colonies. It was concluded that the test item showed no mutagenic activity when tested in this bacterial test system.
