Additional information

Hesperidin has shown in a test according to OECD 301B to be readily biodegradable. Degradation behaviour of positive control and toxicity control was acceptable. Abiotic degradation was not observed. Both replicates of the test item showed very good correspondence.

In accordance with column 1 of REACH (REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006) Annex IX, the sediment and soil simulation testing (required in section 9.2.1.3 nad 9.1.2.4) do not need to be conducted as the substance does not have a high potential for adsorption to sediment. This is supported by the n-octanol/water partition coefficient information indicating that hesperidin has a low Log Pow (log POW <0.3).
