Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified
Remarks:
Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
Conclusions:
The oral LD50 of the coconut oil in rats is greater than 23,500 mg/kg bw.
Executive summary:

In an acute oral toxicity test, 26 mL/kg bw (23,500 mg/kg bw) of coconut oil was orally administered to 10 rats.

No mortality was observed. The oral LD50 of coconut oil in rats can therefore be considered to be greater than 23,500 mg/kg bw. ,
