Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
fish early-life stage toxicity
Type of information:
experimental study planned (based on read-across)
Remarks:
Data for long-term toxicity to fish will be available in 2023 for an analogue approach (Pentan-1-ol, CAS 71-41-0) and are considered to be used to cover this endpoint. Due to animal welfare reasons, we suggest to use analogue date when available.
Study period:
2023
Justification for type of information:
No data are available for 3-methylbutan-1-ol for the time being. Read-across data for long-term toxicity to fish will be available in 2023 for an analogue approach with Pentan-1-ol (CAS 71-41-0), that is past of the pentanols catagory, and are considered to be used to cover this endpoint. Due to animal welfare reasons, we suggest to use the data from the analogue substance Pentan-1-ol (CAS 71-41-0) when available.
A read-across justification is given in chapter 13.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 210 (Fish, Early-Life Stage Toxicity Test)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Analytical monitoring:
yes
