Description of key information
Read across from Aluminium-magnesium-zinc-carbonate-hydroxide (EC 423-570-6).
Based on the conclusion drawn by the Dutch Competent Authority in Risk Assessment dated October 23, 2007 (BMS071023.03) of
Aluminium-magnesium-zinc-carbonate-hydroxide an analogue substance, the substance is of no concern for man and need not be considered -
data currently available are sufficient to allow the registration of this substance above 1000 tonnes/year.
The substance is not considered carcinogenic.

Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the negative results from the in vitro genotoxicity studies and conclusion for the analogue Aluminium-magnesium-zinc-carbonate-hydroxide(considered not to be a potential carcinogen based on results of its individual constituents, see Dutch Competent Authority in Risk Assessment) it can be concluded that Magnesium-Aluminium-Hydroxide-Carbonate needs no classification for carcinogenicity.
