Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Both the dilithium azelate and dilithium sebacate test items were classified as having melting points greater than 400°C. The dilithium adipate test item decomposed at temperatures greater than 250°C. Therefore, a melting temperature could not be established for this test item.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
250 °C

Additional information

All three studies are GLP compliant and follow OECD guideline 102 and EU method A1. Therefore, all three studies were given a reliability rating of 1 (reliable without restrictions). Both the dilithium azelate and dilithium sebacate test items were classified as having melting points greater than 400°C. The dilithium adipate test item decomposed at temperatures greater than 250°C. Therefore, a melting temperature could not be established for this test item. Due to two of the test items having melting temperatures of greater than 400°C and the third decomposing at temperatures greater than 250°C, the key value for the chemical safety assessment for the melting/freezing point at 101 325 Pa is taken as > 250°C.
