The equilibrium partioning method was applied to derive a PNEC soil. This approach is very conservative and will probably be lower than the PNEC derived using assessment factors. Moreover, the substance has a low log Kow which makes the application of the equilibrium partioning method ideal. Finally, the substance is inherently biodegradable thus exposure time to the substance will be limited.
