Description of key information

Based on the chemical structures of the test item components the result for the oxidising properties has been predicted negative.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Method

The oxidising properties were predicted using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A21 Oxidising Properties (Liquids) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

Procedure

The structures of the test item components were assessed for chemical groups that would imply oxidising properties. Examples of such groups are nitrates, metal oxides, hypofluorites, difluoroaminopolynitroaryls, perchlorates, bromates and iodites. If there are no structural alerts within the structure then the oxidizing properties can be predicted negative.

Results

There are no groups within the structures of the test item components which imply oxidising properties.

Conclusion

Based on the chemical structures of the test item components, the result for the oxidizing properties has been predicted negative.

Justification for classification or non-classification

There are no groups within the structures of the test item components which imply oxidising properties and therefore the result for the oxidising properties has been predicted negative.

The substance is therefore unclassified for oxidising properties.
