Sampling and analysis
- Details on sampling:
- In order to determine the substance concentration, water samples were taken from the middle of the test chamber by pipetting approx. 20 ml into a screw neck glass bottle at the study start, and after 48h and 96 h.
Test solutions
- Details on test solutions:
- All tested concentrations were present as clear solutions. All batches were homogeneous. No particular matter was observed.
Test organisms
- Test organisms (species):
- Danio rerio (previous name: Brachydanio rerio)
- Details on test organisms:
- Feeding: twice ad libitum, The animals were kept at least 14 days before the study start of the study in the water for dilution
Study design
- Test type:
- static
- Limit test:
- no
- Total exposure duration:
- 96 h
Test conditions
- Hardness:
- The total hardness of the dilution was determined weekly and was in the range of 2.1-2.3 mmol Ca2+ and Mg2+ /l during the study.
- Test temperature:
- 22+/-1 °C
- pH:
- Concentration groups: 8.0-8.3
Control groups: 7.9-8.1 - Details on test conditions:
- The study was conducted in a static system. The test chambers were calibrated to 10 liters, were made of glass (length 30 cm, width 22 cm, height 24 cm ) and stood in a water bath made of Hostalit Z R with a plexiglas viewing panel. The chambers were illuminated from above from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.After the test concentrations had been prepared and water parameter recorded 7 fish were assigned to each test and control chamber.
