First-aid measures

After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. Seek medical assistance.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin, clean with soap and water.
After contact with eyes: Rinse the affected eye with plenty of water, at the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected.
After ingestion: If you feel unwell, seek medical assistance if discomfort continues.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms: Until now no symptoms known so far.
Treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Full water jet, Carbon dioxide (CO2)

In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Nitrous gases (NOx), Sulphur dioxide (SO2). Under certain conditions of combustion traces of other toxic substances cannot be excluded.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases. Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective clothing. Avoid breathing of dust.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil. Contain contaminated water/firefighting water.
Methods for cleaning up: Take up mechanically. Avoid raising dust. Moisten product before taking it up or use explosion protected vacuum
cleaner. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading "Disposal considerations". Containers in which spilt substance has been collected must be adequately labelled.

Handling and storage

During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.

Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary). Avoid the formation and deposition of dust. Provide exhaust ventilation if dust is formed. In principle, with organic products which are -intentionally or unintentionally- in powdered form, the danger of a dust explosion should be kept in mind. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges - earthing necessary during loading operations. Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place. Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs.

Exposure controls / personal protection

During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.

Respiratory protection: In case of dust formation, use a fine dust face mask. Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or prolonged exposure.

Hand protection: Glove thickness: 0,5 mm. For long-term exposure: Butyl rubber gloves.
Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).

Eye protection: safety glasses
Skin and body protection: working clothes
Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt). Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work.

Stability and reactivity

No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use. No decomposition if stored and applied as directed.
Hazardous reactions: Reactions with acids and strong oxidising agents.
Materials to avoid: Acid anhydrides, Acid chlorides, Oxidizing agents
Hazardous decomposition products: Nitrous oxides (NOx), Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Sulphur dioxide (SO2)

Disposal considerations

Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators. Observe local authority regulations.
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste.
