Description of key information

No acute toxicity to daphnia is expected to occur up to the saturation concentration according to the applied ecotox QSAR model.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

As FAV-ES is a UVCB substance with a high number of constituents that all have a (very) low water solubility, aquatic toxicity testing is not straightforward. Therefore, the acute toxicity to daphnia is assessed using the EpiSuite Ecosar model. Smiles notations were generated for all the identified possible chemical structures of the FAV-ES constituents, and these served as input parameters for the Ecosar model.

The QSAR results show that, for each of the constituents, the estimated 48h-EC50 value is above the water solubility. Therefore, toxicity is not expected to occur up to the saturation concentration.
