Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The temperature dependence of the vapor pressure of Hydroxydrospirenone was determined with the Knudsen effusion method using a vapor pressure balance in the temperature range 128-163 °C.

The following vapor pressures (with 95% confidence limits) were calculated for 20°C, 25°C and 30 °C using a semilogarithmic linear regression based on the Antoin equation to be:

P20= 7.0 · 10-10Pa (1.2 · 10-10– 4.0 · 10-9Pa)

P25= 1.7 · 10-9Pa  (3.2 · 10-10– 8.9 · 10-9Pa)

P30= 4.0 · 10-9Pa  (8.3 · 10-10– 1.9 · 10-8Pa)

The Henry constant was estimated to be:

H = 1.1 · 10-12

Thus Hydroxidrospirenone is to be considered nonvolatile in aqueous solution.
