Remarks:
at atm. press. of ca.1013.0 mBar

An exothermic reaction was observed during the test for two assays, the duration of the exothermic reaction varied between 20 and 38 minutes.

A self-ignition reaction was observed during the test for two assays. The maximum temperature reached by the test item was situated between 404 and 446 °C (corrected value).

In the study no atmospheric pressure was stated at which the self-ignition temperature was measured. Because of this it was assumed that the self-ignition temperature was measured at ca. 1013 mBar.

Conclusions:
The self-ignition temperature of the test item was situated between 248 and 265 °C (corrected value).

Description of key information

The self-ignition temperature of Cobalt(II) 4-oxopent-2-en-2-olate is between 248 and 265 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information
