The toxicity to aquatic algae of sulfopropyl acrylate (SPA) was investigated with Desmodesmus subspicatus according to OECD 201 under GLP conditions (Maletzki 2006). The ErC50(72 h) and the EbC50(72 h) were calculated as 25.72 mg/L and 4.39 mg/L, respectively and the ErC10(72 h) and the EbC10(72 h) were calculated as 1.613 mg/L and 0.908 mg/L, respectively. A NOEC could not be determined due to mathematical reasons. Since no analytics were conducted, the values refered to nominal concentrations.
