Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
After inhalation: Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms persist. Seek immediate medical advice.
After skin contact: Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly. Seek immediate medical advice.
After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult doctor.
After swallowing: Seek immediate medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, extinguishing powder or water jet. Fight larger fires with water jet or alcohol-resistant foam.
Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or flue gases: Can be released in case of fire: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide; Nitrogen oxides (NOx); Hydrogen cyanide (HCN);
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear full protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Person-related safety precautions: Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure adequate ventilation
Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow material to be released to the environment without proper governmental permits.
Measures for cleaning/collecting: Dispose of contaminated material as waste according to Disposal considerations. Ensure adequate ventilation.
Additional information: See information on safe handling
See information on personal protection equipment.
See information on disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling: Put on appropriate personal protective equipment (see section 8). Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is handled, stored and processed. Workers should wash hands and face before eating, drinking and smoking. Persons with a history of skin sensitization problems should not be employed in any process in which this product is used. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing. Do not ingest. Avoid release to the environment. If during normal use the material presents a respiratory hazard, use only with adequate ventilation or wear appropriate respirator. Keep in the original container or an approved alternative made from a compatible material, kept tightly closed when not in use. Keep away from acids. Empty containers retain product residue and can be hazardous.
Storage: Store in accordance with local regulations. Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and wellventilated area, away from incompatible materials (see section 10) and food and drink. Separate from acids. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabelled containers. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination.
Packaging materials Recommended : Use original container
Remarks: Take precautionary measures against electrostatic discharges
