Additional information

For the assessment of the toxicity of 2-ethyl-N,N-bis(2-ethylhexyl)hexylamine (CAS 1860-26-0) to soil microorganisms experimental data are available.

In a key study conducted according to OECD Guideline 222 the 28 -d LC50 for the adult earthworms was determined to be >1000 mg/kg soil dw. The 56 -d EC10 for reproduction was also determined to be >1000 mg/kg soil dw. Eisenia fetida was used as a test organism in this study (BASF SE, rep. no.: 68E0387/05G007, 2013).

Therefore, no risk for macroorganisms is anticipated by the substance.
