Description of key information

Diisobutryl peroxide was shown to hydrolyze rapidly (The longest half-life being 63 minutes at pH 4) according to data generated in the hydrolysis study. Hydrolysis and temperature instability are considered the main removal routes. Phototransformation in air has been calculated as additional information but is not considered the most significant route of removal. Adapted analytical procedures were required during all studies conducted, in order to make Diisobutryl peroxide detectable analysis was carried out at reduced temperatures. Hydrolysis and thermal degradation are therefore considered the most relevant factors influencing the stability of Diisobutryl peroxide.
