Additional information

The biodegradability of the substance was examined in a screening study according to OECD Guideline 310 (Headspace test) and compliant with GLP criteria (BASF, 2013). In this study biodegradation potential was determined by measurement of the total inorganic Carbon (TIC) formed by mineralization of the organic carbon (TOC) of ca. 30 mg/L test compound when exposed to activated sludge from a municipal sewage plant for 28 days. The degree of biodegradation after the 28-day exposure period was 1 ± 1 % TIC/TOC (mean value of five test assays). Based on these findings the test substance was evaluated as poorly biodegradable.
