Assessing the ready biodegradability of the substance, a study was conducted in accordance with the Council Directive 92/69/EEC Method C.4-D “Manometric Respirometry Test“ (1992), which is in all essential parts identical with OECD Guideline 301 F.

Within 28 days, a degradation rate of 58.2 % was determined (Weyers, 2007). Based on this result, the substance is considered to be "Not Readily Biodegradable".
