Description of key information

Surface Tension: 53.3 mN/m at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, EU Method A.5, Oudhoff 2013

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
53.3
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
1 000

Additional information

The surface tension was determined using the ring method of EU Method A.5 and OECD 115. Substances showing a surface tension lower than 60 mN/m under the conditions of this method, should be regarded as being surface active. The surface tension of a test solution at a concentration of 1 g/l solution in water has been determined to be 53.3 mN/m at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The test substance is considered to be a surface-active.
